Short Make Over
Got an old pair of shorts that could use some revamping?
Why not make one of these:
To make this: Use tape and tape your design. To make the stars, from a thick piece of paper cut out the stars and place them where you want them. Fabric spray both sides to give it this look. Or if you are blessed with being artist, you make free hand this design with a paint brush.
To make this look: Take a piece of lace and lay it over the side of the pant you are wanting to cover. Cut the lace accordingly. To attach the fabric, sew using a needle and thread or if that doesn't work for you purchase some iron on adhesive.
To make this: Fallow the same steps are you did on the image above, only this time cut it to match the back panel of your pants.
To make this look: Cut your fabric according to your pockets, and attach, either with needle and thread or iron on adhesive.
To make this look: take a pair of fabric cutting scissors and cut these shapes, you may want to use a stencil or draw the line you will be cutting. After you have made the cuts, add a stitch to the scallops. Or if you are wanting your pants to have a fringed edge, DON'T sew around the scallops.
To make this look: Find a cute and fun fabric that you love, cut and attach to fabric the same your were instructed on the prior panel covering designs.
To make this look: Find a piece of lace that you like and cut the top, and sides fit the pocket. Attach this the same way that you would the other pairs of that have pocket covering.
To make this look: Make slits on the side seams of you pants, add piece of lace to fill the gap and attach by using, needle and thread.
To make this look: Bleach a pair of shorts. Take a sharpie marker, or textile pen and draw/trace any pattern you want.
To make this look: Find a lace pattern or other material, cut the fabric so it can make a circle right around the inside of the short. Attach the fabric with need and thread or iron adhesive.
To make this look: get your studs and a screwdriver. Decide where you want to place your studs, it can be anywhere on the shorts. Than:
