Beach, Boys, & Bonfires

Beach, Boys & Bon Fires
Summer 2012 maybe coming to a close soon, but there is still pently of time to enjoy the summer.
If you are planning on going to the beach with friends, to a party/or even a beached themed party here on some tips and tricks on hair, make-up, a beach packing list.

Lets Start with Hair!
Braids are always a cute and easy way to keep your hair out of your face when you are enjoying the rays at the beach, but a bun is also a cute way to keep your hair out of your face and off your neck.

But lets also not forget about the infamous beach wave:

How to accomplish the beach wave look without using any heat:
  • The night before you plan on working the beach waves, shower and wash your hair as you would normaly.
  • After getting out of the shower, put your hair in a towel, don't allow it to dry.
  • Remove your hair from the towel when it still wet, apply moose to your hair, do prevent your hair from looking greesey and frizzy DO NOT apply moose to the roots of your hair.
  • Divide your hair into two seprate sections, one on the upper half for you head (ear to ear) and one that is the bottom half of your hair. We will be working with the top half first.
  • Divide the top section into two sides, with each side make hair into a bun (depending how you want it to look depends how you want to make your buns and how tight you want to tie them). Repeat with the other side of their head, as well as the bottom.
  • Sleep with hair in the buns, if you need to cover your hair with a shower cap to help keep hair in buns. You should get at least 6 to 8 hours of drying -this is why it is suggested to do this before bed.
  • Remove hair from buns and apply a little more moose to remove any large crinks from the buns.

Now on to MakeUp:

When you are at the beach, you don't want to go too over the top, keep it as minimual as you can. A little waterproof mascara, clear or a little pink or tan lip gloss, if you are going to wear fondation go with one that is incredibly light weight.

    Beach Packing List:

Sunscreen!   Most people think that if you were sunscreen you're not going to get a tan, LIES, always wear a sunscreen but if you are looking for a tan try a lower SPF but still apply often, the tan may not come as fast as you want but it is soooo much healthier for your skin.

Ponytails. If you plan on wearing your hair down or not, never forget to bring ponytails with you, it leaves you open to being able to make a hair style change if need.

A hair brush. If you plan on getting in the ocean, this is a duh! Even if you don't plan on swimming, there is a wind that can tangle your hair. Say your crush shows up and wants to go to ice cream with you, you can easily brush your hair and wear you hair down too.

A Good Book or Magazine. I love laying out on my towel and reading the newest edition of Seventeen Magazine  or reading the most popular Nicholas Sparks' book.

Towels. Don't forget the towels! They are perfect for laying out and soaking up the sun or drying off with after a swim.

Water Bottles. Hydration is INCREDIBLY important to the health of your body.

Friends or A Cutie (; No one likes being a lone, bring your friends or a great guy with you.

Change of Clothing. UNDERWEAR & BRA! Don't forget to bring your underwear and bra with you. It is super uncomfortable to walk around with your wet swim suite on, so bring a change of clothes to change into. Don't forget the change of clothes for your girls (don't leave them in that wet suite either, it can cause uncitely wet rings.

Snacks. You and your girls are going to need something to snack on. If you are going all day, pack a lunch, have each friend be incharge of bringing a food with them, (Jessica brings the sandwhichs, Rachel brings the potato chips, Ben brings the drinks, I bring the dessert.)

Different Eye Shapes, Different Eye Make-Up

Eye Techinques for Different Eye Types
Not everyone has the same shape of eyes. That means that not everyone should use the same style of eye make up.

Do you have Round, Almond or Oval Eyes?
  • Round Eyes are generally larger and have a more open look to them.
  • Almond Eyes have an upswept outer corner.
  • Oval Eyes generally have the appercience of being more shut, some may say squinky.

If you have Round Eyes:

  • Use a darker liner and extend beyond the eyelid at the outer corner to make the eyes appear to be longer.
  • Use medium shades of eyeshadow from the lashline to the crease.
If you have Almond Eyes:
  • Nuetral color liner under the eye
  • do not use the same liner on the top lash line and the bottom.
  • Limit the amount of liner that you use on the tip lash.
  • Use lighter shsades or a smoky eye or smudged eye.

If you have Oval Eyes:
  • Use your eyeliner to give your eyes the look of being taller, start with a thin line at the outer corner of the lash line and gradually thicken towards the middle of the eye. Shrink the line as you approach the inner corner of the eye.
  • Try not to use a lower liner, if you feel as if you need to, make it a VERY fine line under the lower lashes.

There are more than just the shape of the eyes:
